Green House (Fully Plastic / Wire mesh)

Greenhouse Production involves having mechanisms to control condition within a specific area (Growing area) under such conditions water humidity  temperature, aeration, vectors and light can be regulated. Green houses Varies in both types and intended purpose.

Drip Irrigation.

This is the system where the water is applied slowly to the root zone through dripping or trickle via a small size opening .Pressure is reduced to facilitates dripping .It is the most efficient way of watering a crop. The system allows for uniformity of water application as long as pressure can be regulated

Water Harvesting Water pans / Dam linings)

This is the art of collecting surface runoff after a rainfall event for use for particular location or further from point of harvesting .The water harvested may also be used immediately or stored for future use thereby implying that storage is an integral part of water harvesting .Size of storage varies from small containers to huge natural/manmade deprssion that can hold millions of cubics of water.Inorder to prevent losss of harvested water there is need to line the reserver which can be achieved through various means such as pond (damliners, Concrete or even simple compactors or use of a combination of soils materials which hinder infiltration.)

Minimum Tillage practices.

This is when the soil is not disturbed to a vary limited extent .Minimum tillage cab be achieved through use of mechanical equipment or chemicals hence reduce loss of production .The soil structure is maintained at all times .

Improved Crop Varieties.

Choice of  Crop Protection and replenishment of soil fertility.
